UP TO DATE NEWS
Update: 6/22/2026
On 6/22/2026 Lowell Township officials filed an appeal to Kent County Circuit Court in effort to overturn the unanimous ruling issued on 6/16/2026 which approved all seven recall petitions filed for Township Supervisor Jerry Hale, Trustee Mark Anderson, and Trustee William Thompson.
The Committee for Lowell Township Recall forecasted this move and remain confident in the original decision issued by the court.
A date for an appeal hearing has not yet been set. This may take up to, but should not exceed, a period of 40 days. After that time, canvassing efforts will resume in full force. In the meantime we will continue to organize, train, and prepare for the signatory process.
